1. Commitment to a Safe and Respectful Workplace
Our farm is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all individuals who work, visit, or interact with our business. Harassment, discrimination, and verbal abuse will not be tolerated in any form. All individuals are expected to treat each other with respect and professionalism at all times.
2. Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited on the farm and in any work-related interactions:
- Harassment: Any unwelcome conduct, whether verbal, physical, or visual, that creates a hostile or offensive environment. This includes, but is not limited to, sexual harassment, bullying, intimidation, and repeated unwelcome comments.
- Verbal Abuse: Insults, yelling, threats, derogatory comments, or any speech intended to demean or intimidate another person.
- Discrimination: Unequal treatment based on race, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
- Physical Abuse or Threats: Any form of physical aggression, intimidation, or implied threats of harm.
- Retaliation: Any negative action taken against an individual for reporting a violation of this policy or participating in an investigation.
3. Reporting Violations
If you experience or witness any prohibited conduct, please report it immediately. Reports can be made to Steve Kostidis in person, via email (bluedotacres@gmail.com), or in writing. All reports will be taken seriously and handled with discretion.
4. Investigation and Consequences
All reported incidents will be investigated promptly and thoroughly. If a violation of this policy is found, appropriate corrective action will be taken, which may include:
- Verbal or written warnings
- Temporary or permanent suspension from farm activities
- Termination of employment or contract
- Reporting to legal authorities if necessary
5. Commitment to Non-Retaliation
Anyone who reports a violation in good faith or participates in an investigation is protected from retaliation. Retaliation against an individual for filing a complaint or participating in an investigation will result in disciplinary action.
6. Professionalism and Respect
Everyone on the farm is expected to maintain a professional and respectful demeanor. We value kindness, patience, and clear communication. By working together in a positive manner, we can ensure that our farm remains a welcoming and productive space for all.
